Effective rainfall management for Rainproof NYC is crucial for our community's and the environment's health. Yeshua Worldwide Ministries is eager and able to enhance community preparedness by providing residents with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to maintain their heavy rainfall systems properly. Through workshops, hands-on training, and innovative technologies like mobile apps, we will strengthen the line of communication between the community and local maintenance teams, ensuring timely responses to issues and decision-making. We can build a resilient and well-prepared community in Middle Village, Queens, New York, by fostering a proactive approach to mitigate the risk of heavy rainfall.
Objectives
a) Build and strengthen community relationships among neighbors, especially those with special needs.
b) Improve preparedness before, during, and after the heavy rainfall emergencies.
c) Establish proper communication tools to report, track, and provide feedback for reporting.
d) Create easy access to local technicians who are available 24/7.
Project Goals
1. Increase community engagement by at least two hundred (200) participants across Middle Village, Queens.

3. Establish an effective feedback loop that resolves about seventy-five percent (75%) of issues reported through the app (mass messaging text) within 48 hours.
4. Easy access for local technicians and maintain at least twenty (20) certified community technicians available for routine repairs.
Budget
The allotted budget of $10,000 will be used for planning, workshops, mobile app use, and training for locals. The four main topics will be:
1. Introduction to Rainfall Systems and Their Importance. This aims to educate residents on how rainwater systems function and why proper maintenance is crucial for public health and the environment.
2. Emergency Preparedness for Heavy Rainfall for Wastewater Backups. This aims to teach residents how to recognize signs of impending problems and what steps to take during a backup to minimize damage.
3. Regular Maintenance and Basic Plumbing Skills. This subject provides practical skills for residents to maintain plumbing and prevent common issues that lead to rainfall or wastewater problems.
4. Understanding the Mobile App for Reporting Issues. Another effective way is to familiarize residents with the mobile app features for real-time issue reporting, tracking, and feedback.
